The key role of Tender Manager is to provide tendering and technical expertise to assist in business development of Power System solutions.
You willsupport multiple sales teams across Australia in management and production of high quality winning tender proposals with a focus on our Medium Voltage range. The Tender Manager will report to the Tendering Team Manager and will take a lead role in strategic pursuits for solution development and tendering. The key responsibilities are:
Drive the formulation of order winning strategies with the bid team
Review RFQ documentation, technical and commercial specifications and then identify cost-effective solutions that meet customer needs
Prepare tender documentation including cost summary sheets, technical compliance, risk assessments and approval documentation
Liaise with supply chain/factories for pricing purposes, develop and maintain relationships
Submit completed tender proposals to meet customer deadlines
Complete tender follow-up and negotiations
Process orders and handing over to project managers for execution
With a particular focus on:
Medium Voltage equipment including switchgear, transformer, skid and kiosk solutions
Who are you?
Suffice to say, as our preferred candidate you will be someone with medium voltage expertise, and you know your way around a tendering environment and the process required to pull together successful tendering responses. Together with the above experience you will have:
An engineering degree in electrical engineering with experience in power systems
Experience in medium voltage solutions for data centres, transport, grid and renewable energy project applications
An understanding of power systems protection engineering and substation automation systems
Knowledge of commercial and legal terms
Costing and estimating experience
Equally critical is your energy, curiosity, customer focus and ability to collaborate extensively.
