Summary:

This position will be responsible for designing solutions for Microgrid, Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) projects, and similar to include power systems, control systems, etc. as well as supporting sales/business development activities for emerging power & control technologies. This individual will work closely with the Microgrid team to execute complex designs for Microgrids, DERs, and similar projects. In addition, the applicant must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and dedicated to successful completion of complex designs and must support construction of said designs.

Additional

Responsibilitiesinclude:

Develop complex designs to include all requisite documentation such as one-lines, three-lines, physical plan-views, physical elevations, grounding, schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material, schedules, etc.

Support construction of Schneider Electric designs both remotely and in the field

Participate and lead meetings with customers to include project development, project review and periodic meetings

Develop and present solutions in support of proposals, preliminary designs and similar

Perform preliminary analysis to include electrical and financial modeling

Perform power system studies to include, but no limited to, equipment sizing, short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, switching, dynamic

Coordinate with clients to obtain relevant project information under a deadline while maintaining a flexible work schedule around project dates and milestones

Mentor peers and front office on microgrid solution topics

Collaborate with execution teams to continuously improve while driving profitability, efficiency, innovation, and growth

Responsibilitiesmay include:

Act as trusted adviser from a technical perspective in the field of electrical power distribution systems

Partner with other members of the execution teams within Microgrid to enhance our brand and provide added value to the customer

Support strategic and segment accounts by partnering with sales and working directly with customers, work with service execution managers to enhance our technical value to the customer

Work with business development managers and sales teams to provide full sales cycle support, fulfill your part in the applicable sales stages

Collaborate with regional execution teams within the consulting group on project management and execution of work

Support projects on a national level

Identify opportunities and ventures into new territory, work with leaders to develop these opportunities

Estimated Travel 20%

Qualifications

QualificationsApproximate  Experience (years): 8+Experienced power engineer with skills in the following:

Power system analysis and studies

Short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, load-flow, transient studies, harmonic studies, etc.

Proficient in AutoCADDesign codes, standards, and best practices

System protection and control design

Develop protective relay settings including relay-based control

Commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting

Experienced in effective communications both internally and externally to include presentations and training

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one State
