Description
TERRITORY RESPONSIBILITY:
South Texas and Portions of Louisiana- (Houston Based)
Essential Job

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the direct sales of products to the following served markets:
Investor Owned Utilities, Cooperatives/Municipalities, Power Plants, Industrial/OEM, Electrical Contractor, Services Industry, and Government

* Extensive customer interface requires Technical Sales Representative to reside within the territory

* Must have excellent time and territory management skills

* Must have excellent communication skills; written and verbal

* Ability to interpret non-verbal communication cues in order to close sales

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Skills and

Competencies:

*Education:

Degree a plus, BSEE preferred

*Experience:

Requires four years’ experience in sales to electric utilities, apparatus manufacturers and heavy industrial facilities

* Technical background should include knowledge of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear and protective relays

Additional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Ability to work independently as well as within small teams

* Demonstrated ability to multi-task with ability to get things done

* Self-directed professional with the ability to maintain own schedule and prioritization of your day

* Strong organizational skills

External Contacts:

* Extensive customer interface requires Technical Sales Representative to reside within the territory

Travel

Requirements:

* Requires up to 60% travel. A company vehicle will be provided
